16th annual ‘A Day of Christmas Fun’ set for Dec. 13
Delight your child with four hours of holiday merriment in a fun, safe and supervised setting while you handle holiday errands
Attention Paso Robles parents: Santa Claus and his elves have been working year round to get ready for the big holiday which arrives in five weeks. But are you ready? It’s always easier to plan and shop for the holidays when little ones aren’t around.
Here’s a solution – make plans to register the children, 3- to 12-years-old, for the 16th Annual Paso Robles ‘A Day of Christmas Fun’ celebration, set for Saturday, Dec. 13, from noon to 4 p.m., at the Paso Robles Event Center Fairgrounds, 2198 Riverside Ave. Pre-registration is required and now underway at the Paso Robles Albertsons Customer Service Desk on a first-come, first-served basis. The admission fee is $20 per child, payable with cash or check.
Presented and organized by Albertsons/Sav-On Pharmacy, the Paso Robles Event Center and Coca-Cola, this event is a four-hour holiday party that includes Christmas games, music, face-painting, special performances, Gingerbread House making and a guaranteed one-on-one visit with Santa Claus. Space is limited.
“’A Day of Christmas Fun’ is an activity that has grown in popularity with kids and adults each year,” emphasized Paso Robles Albertsons Assistant Store Director and event creator Cindy Hawkes. “It was designed to give parents a chance to take care of their holiday errands knowing their kids are at a well-supervised event enjoying the best of the season. With the support of our co-sponsors and community volunteers, the Paso Robles store team is thankful to have created a memorable tradition!”
On Dec 13, pre-registered participant sign-in will begin at noon. Youngsters will be provided names tags and matched into groups. The doors will close promptly at 12:30 p.m. and no parents will be allowed inside of the building once the event has begun. All activities will be supervised by volunteer parents and Paso Robles High School students. Security personnel stationed at each door will also be on hand. The doors will reopen at 4 p.m. and parents will be required to show proper identification in order to pick up their children.
Volunteers Welcome
Parents and high school students are welcome to serve as volunteers. To do so, they must participate in a mandatory meeting set for Friday, Dec. 12, 4 p.m., at the fairgrounds event center.
