1,825 homes lose power in Paso Robles

Power Outage

Power was lost Tuesday afternoon near Cuesta College.

A possible downed power line caused 1,825 Pacific Gas and Electric customers to lose power Tuesday afternoon. The vicinity of the power outage is north of River Road near Highway 46.

Crews were immediately dispatched on the report of the outage and a downed wire, according to a PG&E spokesman.

The power outage hit at 3:33 p.m. near Cuesta College’s North County Campus along Buena Vista Road causing the school to cancel classes. “All classes on the North County Campus have been cancelled for the remainder of the evening but will resume Wednesday morning, Feb. 5.,” the college said in a statement. Campus officials have posted signage alerting students to the class closures.

By 5 p.m. power had been restored to all put 762 customers, the spokesman said.
