2017 Summer Concerts in the Park lineup announced

Concerts begin in City Park Thursday, June 1

The Paso Robles Recreation Foundation in partnership with Paso Robles Recreation Services and J. Lohr Vineyards and Wines is pleased to announce the 2017 Summer Concerts in the Park series lineup. The concert season will kick-off at a new time of 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 1 and continue weekly through Aug. 17.

“Our concert series has become a favorite summer tradition among locals and visitors alike,” commented Lynda Plescia, Manager of Recreation Services for the City of Paso Robles. “These family-friendly all ages weekly summer events offer something for everyone. Our 2017 lineup appeals to a wide variety of musical tastes and will feature incredible local talent and great food and drink in our newly renovated City Park and play area. Put on your dancing shoes or spread out the picnic blanket and celebrate summer with us!”

Eleven of the area’s most popular musical groups were selected from over 65 applicants to perform during the summer concert series. The 2017 Summer Concerts in the Park lineup will feature:

Zongo All-Stars (Afro-Caribbean Dance)

Thursday, June 8
Burning James & the Funky Flames (Soul / Funk)

Thursday, June 15
Café Musique (Gypsy, Tango, Swing & Wild Classic)

Thursday, June 22
The Jammies (Classic Rock, Funk, Reggae)

Thursday, June 29
Monte Mills (Country & Old Time Rock & Roll)

Thursday, July 6
Incendio (World Fusion)

Thursday, July 13
Paso Wine Man Band (Classic Rock & Blues)

Thursday, July 20
Bob Santa Cruz Band (Adult Contemporary, Dance, Soul, R & B)

Thursday, Aug. 3
Rio Salinas (Cali Tex Mex, Rock’n Blues)

Thursday, Aug. 10
The Martin Paris Band (Classic Rock and Country)

Thursday, Aug. 17
The Mojo Combo (Blues, Soul, Classic Rock)

J. Lohr wine, Firestone on-tap beer as well as water and soda will be available for purchase during the concerts. All net proceeds from beverage sales support the Paso Robles REC Foundation whose mission is to enhance parks and recreation in the city of Paso Robles. Food will be available for purchase from a different Paso Robles restaurant during each concert.
