Family leadership of Weatherby, Inc. continues with Adam Weatherby joining the company as executive vice president and chief operating officer. Weatherby was most recently serving as youth pastor at Atascadero Bible Church.

“My son Adam is well prepared for his new position, bringing proven leadership and communication skills, plus past experience with our company and a lifetime of hunting and shooting experience,” said Ed Weatherby, president and chief executive officer.

“He represents the third generation of our family to be involved in running the business. I look forward to working with Adam as we take Weatherby, Inc. into a bright future.”

After employment at a local gun shop, Adam began working at Weatherby, Inc. in 1996, holding positions over a four-year period in technical support, warranty service, sales and marketing. Beginning in 2000 through April 2014, he was a pastor at Atascadero Bible Church, leading mission trips around the world, speaking at numerous youth events and serving on the teaching team.

“As our company nears its 70th anniversary I’m very excited to be part of the Weatherby team and work with my father to sustain our legacy of producing quality firearms for hunters and shooters,” Adam Weatherby said.

Adam and wife Brenda have three children. He holds a bachelor’s degree in church leadership and earned a master’s degree in religion from Liberty University in Virginia.

Founded in 1945, Weatherby, Inc.’s line features the new WBY-X products as well as the popular Vanguard Series 2 and legendary Mark V rifles (production and custom), Threat Response shotguns and rifles, semi-auto and pump shotguns, premium ammunition and security/shooting accessories.
