Adoptable pet of the week: Dawn

Dawn

–This week’s edition of North County Adoptable Pet of the Week features tabby cat Dawn from North County Humane Society.

Dawn is an 8 year old short hair orange, brown and white tabby-co girl looking for a new home. She is pretty but shy at NCHS, and that’s easy to explain – she lived indoor as an only cat since she was a kitten. When her elderly owner passed away, Dawn had no other place to live and was brought to NCHS.

Dawn is not very excited to be at NCHS and would love a nice quiet new home with her special person. She appreciates head rubs and has a tremendous purr, but she is not quite ready to be a lap cat until she gets to know you better. She qualifies for the NCHS “Senior for Senior” program which provides cats 8 years or older to seniors 55 or older with no adoption fee.

Dawn has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and is ready to meet her new person today. Are you that special person to give her a new home?

NCHS has many cats available for adoption; they can be viewed on the website at www.slonchs.org. Potential pet parents are encouraged to visit NCHS to find the right cat for their family.

The North County Humane Society is located in Atascadero, just off of Highway 101 by the Del Rio Road exit, at 2300 Ramona Rd. They are open Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. More information is provided on the website, or call NCHS at (805) 466-5403.
