Adoptable pet of the week: Surprise

–This week’s edition of North County Adoptable Pet of the Week features orange cat Surprise. Surprise

From North County Humane Society comes Surprise, a fluffy, 5-year-old orange male cat who has been at the NCHS shelter for two years. He was dropped off at a local vet office for treatment of a blockage, and – surprise – no one came back to pick him. An additional surprise came when he was found to have a broken pelvis and was hardly able to walk.

Surprise is fully recovered from his injuries and ready to join your household today. He likes to hang out on the NCHS sun porch and enjoys playing with cat toys. He gets along with the other NCHS cats, and he has been neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped.

NCHS has many cats available for adoption; they can be viewed on the website at www.slonchs.org.  Potential pet parents are encouraged to visit NCHS to find the right cat for their family.

The North County Humane Society is located in Atascadero, just off of Highway 101 by the Del Rio Road exit, at 2300 Ramona Rd. They are open Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. More information is provided on the website, or call NCHS at (805) 466-5403.
