Amanda Collins named first Destination Manager of Travel Paso Robles Alliance

TPRA Announces Amanda Collins as New Destination Manager

The Organization Looks Forward to Exciting Growth and Evolution

Screen Shot 2013-03-27 at 6.22.10 AMThe Travel Paso Robles Alliance (TPRA) has selected Amanda Collins as the organization’s first Destination Manager. This new position came about as a result of the many successes the TPRA has seen since their formation in 2008.

Candidates under consideration met with the selection committee and Board of Directors, offering a platform to demonstrate relevant knowledge and share in developing a vision for Paso Robles tourism. “After an extensive selection process we are thrilled to welcome Amanda to the team,” said TRPA Chairman and La Quinta General Manager, Victor Popp. He continued, “Her passion for Paso Robles, professional experience and overall enthusiasm for the organization’s goals made her a stand-out candidate and a natural choice.”

Collins grew up in Paso Robles; after attending college in the Bay Area, she returned to begin her career in marketing. She previously worked for the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance and PRP Companies before starting her own business, Big Red Marketing. Collins explained, “I’m really looking forward to working with and representing a community that has achieved so much and that I truly believe offers a unique experience to its visitors. The TPRA has done a terrific job establishing itself and growing Paso Robles tourism; the chance to become a piece of the TPRA’s future and development is something that deeply attracted me to this opportunity.”

Collins began work in the beginning of March. She will be involved in the TPRA’s administration, strategy direction, and sales and marketing roles. She will work closely with the organization’s marketing firm, Mental Marketing, and with the City of Paso Robles. The Destination Manager position allows the organization a personality to represent Paso Robles tourism both on the road and home, in our local communities.
