Art of Carroll Black-Brown on display at library
PASO ROBLES — Artist Carroll Black-Brown’s art will be on display at the Paso Robles City Library in October, Carol Black-Brown, has been involved in artistic endeavors all of her life. Introduced to pastel six years ago by artist/teacher Joyce Krull, she was taken by the soft to vibrant colors of the medium. October’s display was inspired by a recent trip to the Tuscan region of Italy.
“I love to catch those fleeting moments in time that depict the diversity and universality of living our lives: a little girl and her mother shopping in Lucca, street artists in Florence, a fisherman on his boat, a young woman asleep on the train. I look for something unique in painting well-known sights: tourists caught in a rainstorm in the Piazza di San Giovanni in Florence. And in Lucca, the buildings on Piazza Del’Anfiteatro reflected in a mirror on a wall.”
The Paso Robles City Library is located at 1000 Spring Street and is open Monday – Friday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information on library programs and events, please call (805) 237-3870 or visit www.prcity.com/library.
