Event is Saturday, Nov. 1, from 1-4 p.m.

Templeton art showOn Templeton Founders Day, drop by the Templeton Book Room between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. and check out the paintings on show and for sale by local artist Kristen Clouston. Her floral and western themed artwork are strongly influenced and inspired by her own grandmother’s art and involvement in the art world.

In support of the ongoing fundraising by the Templeton Community Library Association (TCLA) to build a much needed library, she will donate 40 percent from sales of her paintings to the Templeton Library Building Fund. Ms. Clouston has taught art to students at the Templeton and Vineyard Elementary Schools and will be present to read to children stories from her soon to be published book.

The Templeton Book Room, on 225 So. Main St., is chockablock full of donated fiction and non-fiction books, as well as CDs and DVDs, for adults and children, for lending and for sale. Come in, discover, and enjoy! It is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Book Room also conducts a Book Sale at the Farmers Market on the 4th Saturday of each month, weather permitting.

For information on the Templeton Community Library and the Library Building Fund, please contact Wayne Petersen, TCLA board president at 434-0069. Tax deductible donations may be sent to the TCLA at P.O. Box 292, Templeton, CA 93465.
