Atascadero chamber and city partner for 2014 ‘Business Walk’

Business-Walk-AtascaderoThe Atascadero Chamber of Commerce and the City of Atascadero are partnering up Monday, Sept. 4, for “Business Walk”.

The first ever in San Luis Obispo County, the “Business Walk” is a face-face survey consisting of four questions that will take about five minutes to complete. Over 450 Atascadero businesses will be contacted Sept. 4 between the hours of 9:30-11 a.m.

“Local businesses are the most important part of a successful community and we want to hear firsthand what their needs, concerns and praises are so that we are able to provide the right services and programs to promote a strong local economy here in Atascadero.” says Linda Hendy,
president and CEO of the Atascadero Chamber of Commerce.

“Our ‘Business Walk’ will take place on El Camino Real in Atascadero, along with downtown, reaching a wide variety of businesses,” she says. If not located on the walk, businesses are encouraged to participate by going to the chamber’s website and filling out the questionnaire at www.Atascaderochamber.org.

The walking will be done by the Atascadero Chamber, city staff, along with 100 volunteers will be paired in teams and assigned 10-15 businesses within a block. For additional information or to volunteer please visit the chamber’s website.

The walk will kick off on the steps of Atascadero City Hall between 9-9:30 a.m with special guest speakers, Congresswoman Lois Capps, 5th District Supervisor Debbie Arnold and Mayor Tom O’Malley.

Survey Results will be shared on Oct. 8 at Galaxy Theatre in Atascadero.
