Play synopsis

Edward Bischof and Elaine Wolfe star in this sweet and heartbreaking play. Gurney’s play, a Pulitzer Prize finalist, Love Letters is the story of a 50-year correspondence between Melissa Gardner and her childhood-friend-turned-love-interest, Andrew Makepeace Ladd III. The two exchange letters through boarding school and college, through marriages and children—a story about two friends, physically apart, but closer than two lovers ever could be.
