Come savor the flavor of gourmet mac ‘n cheese

Paso Macaroni and Cheese Festival returns for second year

More than 20 chefs will compete for the best gourmet mac and cheese dish Saturday Aug. 24, 2013 at Le Vigne Winery in Paso Robles. The chefs will be dishing up gourmet macaroni & cheese samples. It could be a recipe that they are known for, a family recipe, or the next recipe for success.

Organizers invite the public to come hungry and remember to savor the flavor. Judges will choose the top three winners. There will also be a Peoples Choice Award. Tickets are $55 and available at Eventbright.

Over 20 wineries and Barrel House Brew will be pour at the second annual 2013 event. Vendors will offer retail items for consumers and guests to check out from olive oils to cheese, almonds, gelato and more. Live entertainment will be provided by Jody Mulgrew and The Skelteon Crew from 2 to 4 p.m. and Mark Adams- One Time Spaceman from 4 to 6 p.m. Guests are invited to bring a blanket or chair to enjoy the day on the lawn.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Zoo to You and the zoo will bring a surprise animal guest.
