Award-winning Australian swamp blues/rock musician “8 Ball” Aitken and southern California-based singer/songwriter Alice Wallace are teaming up for a string of dates in California this August – bringing their combination of raucous blues and sweet folk music to venues all along the West coast.

Based part of the year in Nashville, 8 Ball Aitken made his first trip to California in early 2013, and he and Alice decided to join forces for a longer tour of the West coast this summer after several successful gigs in the Los Angeles area in March. They will be hitting venues from San Diego to San Francisco over a three-week tour.

The combination of 8 Ball’s foot-stomping, roof-rattling swamp rock and Alice’s sweeter, but still raw and brutally honest, country and folk tunes will allow audiences to enjoy a range of Americana and roots music in one evening.

8 Ball Aitken is touring with his new live one-man-band album ‘Alive In Tamworth’. With his trademark electri-fried slide guitar, sense of humor, interactive 3D audience participation and swamp antics, he puts on a barnstorming riot of a live show. Averaging 200 gigs a year these days, 8 Ball has performed at festivals and clubs throughout USA, Canada, Australia, and Europe. He’s toured in Japan four times, where he headlined the popular Rokko Sun Music Festival. He has also played extensively in Germany, Poland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and the UK.

“One listen to Alive In Tamworth has you living the blues, feeling it, understanding the primal grooves raining down in spades. This is blues from the swamp and you need to get on board,” said Samuel J. Fell of Rhythms Magazine / Rolling Stone.

Alice Wallace has been playing her blend of folk, country and blues in the Los Angeles since 2008, and has shared the stage with artists ranging from Lisa Loeb to Shawn Mullins. She released her debut album “Sweet Madness” in late 2011 to rave reviews from national and regional outlets, and is set to release her sophomore record later this fall. Focusing most of her touring efforts on the western United States, Alice has played in festivals from Arizona to Wyoming, as well as throughout southern California.

Alice and 8 Ball will be available for interviews and in-studio performances during their tour. Contact either of the artists at the information below:
