Baywood Boatzart & Bayfest this Saturday
The Annual Boatzart Concert is combined with the Bayfest Music Festival this coming Saturday, Aug. 23, for a free, fun, all day experience in Baywood Park.
Guest are invited to grab a kayak, canoe, or other small boat and float on in to this annual music festival. The Baywood Boatzart & Bayfest starts at noon and runs until 7:30 p.m. The festival features a wide range of musical styles from Bluegrass to Folk to Gypsy Jazz to Tango Fusion to Afro Caribbean.
It’s a free concert, with food drink available for sale. It’s located at the Baywood Pier and Back Bay Inn, 1391 2nd Street, Los Osos, CA.
Concert line-up
- Noon – Honeysuckle Possums – all female bluegrass band from Santa Barbara – on the pier!
- 2 p.m. – The Weavers Remembered – a tribute to the music of the Weavers
- 3 p.m. – Gipsy All-Stars – Toan Chau leads a fantastic group playing the music of Django Reinhardt.
- 4 p.m. – Cafe Musique – Amazing fusion of gypsy, tango classical, and folk
- 5:30 p.m. – Zongo All-Stars – Local favorite powerhouse of Afro/Latin/Caribbean dance music
