Bearcat athletes advance to CIF playoffs 

Paso Robles High School boys’ soccer, boys’ basketball, and wrestling qualify to advance to the CIF Southern Section Playoffs

The Bearcat boys’ basketball team players will open the CIF Division 3A playoffs at No. 14 ranked Cabrillo High School in Lompoc on Wednesday, Feb. 18  at 7 p.m. If the Bearcats win, they will face Tahquitz High at Charter Oaks High on Friday, Feb. 20 at 7 p.m.

Players on the Bearcat boys’ soccer team will travel to Thousand Oaks High School on Wednesday, Feb. 18 to open the Division 3 playoffs with a 3 p.m. start. If the Bearcats win, they will play Pacifica High at Oxnard on Friday, Feb. 20 at 3 p.m.

Thirteen Bearcat wrestlers — Daede Murphy, Oscar Covarrubias, Rhett Perez, Kameron Morones, Lawrence Ray, Trevor Torres, Michael Dominguez, Hunter Deverick (alternate), John Cabral, Rudy Nunez, Carlos Morgado, Manny Mendez, and Blake Irysh — have advanced to the CIF Southern Section, Southern Division Wrestling Championships to be held Friday, Feb. 20 and Saturday, Feb. 21 at Marina High School in Huntington Beach.
