Take a tour of Christmas lights in Paso Robles

The families and businesses of Paso Robles are really in the Christmas spirit this year when it comes to their holiday decorations. There are hundreds of beautifully decorated homes, shops and wineries around town. If you are going to load up the car and go for an evening tour of Christmas lights, here are a few places not to miss. Special thanks go to our readers for submitting photos and suggesting the best locations.

The Cullen’s house is decorated with over 75,000 lights.

“The Griswolds” 2.0

The Cullen family has created a magical spectacle the past ten years for the Paso Robles community, and the Cullen’s are going bigger than ever for 2017. Their home resembles the Griswold’s home from the iconic holiday movie. The Cullen’s decorate their home, located at 192 Sandbar Ct. in Paso Robles behind Walmart, with over 75,000 Christmas lights and are synced to holiday music. A video is also included in the performance this year. The family will collect food donations for local food banks. Neighboring houses have also synced their lights to join the show. Those who wish to enjoy the show can watch from their car every night from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Vine Street

The collection of decorations along Vine Street is arguably the most impressive in town. No tour of Christmas lights is complete without a slow drive down Vine Street. Start at First Street and move slowly north to 24th Street. Each year, the Vine Street Victorian Showcase draws thousands of visitors to admire the stately homes decorated with holiday cheer. Some houses are interactive, with Ebenezer Scrooge talking to passerby’s and even a “Santa phone” where children can chat with Santa himself.

This festive home in Templeton has lights and inflatable decorations.

Cambria Christmas Market

The Cambria Christmas Market boasts over two million lights and multiple holiday displays.

The market is a must-attend event for all on the Central Coast. There are over two million lights displayed, and guests are able to walk around and enjoy the lights. Along with the lighted holiday decorations, there is live music, food and beer, and a Santa meet and greet. Tickets sell out quickly for each night and are not sold at the gate.
