Big Creek Lumber offers complementary contractor college

Founded in 1946 by brothers Bud and Lud McCrary and their father and uncle, Big Creek Lumber, started as a small family business. The company is fortunate to have grown over the years and is dedicated to supporting the growth of its customers’ businesses. They’re introducing an innovative seminar – Big Creek’s Contractor College, a free event focused on relevant topics applying to running a construction business.

Big Creek Lumber“Over the years I have learned many things, sometimes the hard way, but preferably, have had mentors, family, friends and colleagues share knowledge. I was able to apply much of this information to the success of our business and feel fortunate to have a chance to share with others. I wish that when we started, we could have attended an event like the Contractor College,” stated Lud McCrary, Co-Founder of Big Creek Lumber.

The event will on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at the Steinbeck Center in Salinas, which is a central location between their five yards. All Contractors are invited and welcome. “We feel very fortunate to still be in business after nearly 70 years. Much of our success has been due our ties to our employees, customers and communities. Because they’ve contributed so much to our success, we’re excited to provide this service to help our customers prosper,” stated Ellen Rinde, Vice President of Big Creek Lumber. In order to attend, advanced registration is required and due to space requirements attendance is limited to the first 200 RSVP’s.

The event will include vendor representatives, informative presentations, prizes and much more! Presentations include: 60 Ideas in 60 Minutes: by Craig Webb, Editor-in-Chief, Remodeling & ProSales Magazines; How to Protect Yourself with Preliminary Lien Law in CA: by John Domingue, Esq. with Berliner Cohen Attorneys at Law; Current Construction Loan Environment: by Richard Hofstetter, CEO and President of Lighthouse Bank.
