Cal Fire badge pinning ceremony to be held March 3 

Cal Fire Cal Fire/San Luis Obispo County Fire Department will hold an official badge pinning ceremony on Friday, March 3, at 4 p.m. at the San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors Chambers. Also being recognized will be employees with 25 years of state service.

John Peschong, District 1 Supervisor and Chair, will speak at the ceremony and swear in the newly appointed Deputy Chief Eric Cleveland, Division Chiefs Steve Crawford and Steve Spinharney, and Fire Captains Ben Rodriguez, Derek McTiernan, Corey Nicholson, Joy Anderson, and Nick Stitzel.

State Senator Bill Monning will also be speaking. The public is invited to attend.

“It is an honor to recognize these men and women who are committed to protecting life, property and our natural resources with integrity, competence, teamwork, and courage,” stated Unit Chief Scott Jalbert.
