Camp Roberts open to hunters Jan. 17-19

This activity may be limited to 75 hunters per day on a “first come firs served” basis with an active stand-by list. Hunters must check-in and out via Gate 3. Gate 3 hours are 4:30 a.m. each day, until one hour after the end of legal hunting time. Fishing season is currently closed.

Hunters are required to purchase an annual Camp Roberts Hunting & Fishing Permit in the amount of $100.00. This amount can be paid in person via check or money order made payable to Camp Roberts MWR. All hunters are required to have the appropriate hunting license and tags from the State of California in their possession.

To obtain a Camp Roberts Hunting & Fishing Permit, each hunter must register in person. Information required will include the vehicle and firearms to be used, government issued identification, California hunting license number, required tags and a safety briefing (in person).

Briefings will occur on Thursday, 16 Jan.y 2014, anytime from 1200-2000 at the Phoenix Club, Bldg. 6083, or Friday, 17 Jan. 2014 between the hours of 0800 and 2000 at the Gate 3 game shack. Participants may request their desired hunting dates; thes~ will be allocated based on availability of space. Previously registered participants of the Camp Roberts Hunting and Fishing Program may call 805-238-8397 to “sign in” for access.

Registered hunters must present their Camp Roberts Hunting & Fishing Permit and photo identification when checking in at Gate 3. A vehicle pass and map of the areas open to hunting on that particular day will be issued. All participants are required to check in and out at Gate 3 for this activity.

State of California hunting guidelines and regulations apply while on Camp Roberts. Hunters and non hunters must comply with all Federal, State and Camp Roberts Regulations while participating in this activity. Violations may result in forfeiture of fees paid, revocation of the Camp Roberts Hunting & Fishing Permit, and may be subject to citation! by law enforcement officers.
