Carolyn Kidder Bischof dies at 86

carolyn-kidder-bischof–Carolyn Kidder Bischof of Paso Robles, age 86, died Nov. 11, of natural causes, at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Bischof in 1999.

Both Caroline and Bernard were nature lovers. She worked as an architect/planner for the U.S. Forestry Dept., while her husband Bernard worked as a surveyor building highways in the Central coast area. Both enjoyed spending weekends at their rancho in the Bryson Area named The Bluebird Hacienda. Later moving to Paso Robles, she designed the architectural layout of her current residence.

Carolyn, born in Connecticut, spent her childhood years in the Marin area of San Francisco and in her late teens, traveled to France, spending some time there. She demonstrated her dedication to honoring the loving spirit of husband Bernard by her steadfast devotion to the welfare of family and friends. Lately, she had been active in the Democrats Club and participated in local food banks.

She was fond of her cats and her Black Range Rover. An energetic, fun loving and lively spirit, she will be missed by her friends and family. She is survived by her brother, Jim Kidder of Placerville and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Friday, Nov. 18, 3 p.m. at Kuehl-Nicolay Funeral Home, 1703 Spring Street, Paso Robles. Interment is pending.
