Cassidy Moses selected as a Paso Robles High School Student of the Year

Paso Robles High School has selected Ms. Cassidy Moses as Career Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Year.

Moses is a third year student in the Early Childhood Education (ECE) program. She is a volunteer “Book Buddy” at Bauer Speck Elementary school, a tutor, a volunteer at the toy bank, was a camp counselor at Camp Hapitok this past summer, and recently started a club at school that benefits children and youth in our community. Moses also recently accepted a position on the Paso Robles Youth Commission.Cassidy

“Cassidy is a focused leader at Paso Robles High School and is a responsible and motivated student who works hard at whatever task she takes on”, said Ms. Brenda Matthysse, the high school’s ECE Instructor. “Cassidy was a Bearkitten when she was a small child, and it is extra special to have her join our program as a student teacher and to watch her excel.”

Moses has balanced her commitment to advanced placement and Cuesta academic courses with her passion for the ECE program. She has a career goal of combining her skills in ECE and her love of science toward becoming a pediatric neurologist.

Cassidy has competed in the ECE competition of SkillsUSA for the past two years. Last year, Cassidy earned a silver medal at the state level, and this year she earned a gold medal. She will now represent the state of California in the National SkillsUSA Conference in Louisville, Kentucky.
