Central Coast adoption open house Jan. 7

Paso Robles AdoptionIn California, more than 10,000 children await adoptive families. Aspiranet, a California adoption agency, works hand-in-hand with adoptive parents and children to ensure positive experiences and life-changing results.

Traci and Richard August of Paso Robles have been Aspiranet foster parents for more than 11 years and have fostered and cared for over 20 foster youth in need of a loving home, most of which they’ve kept in contact with and maintained good relationships. With birth children of their own, they had no intention to adopt, until two young sisters, ages 2 and 9, came into their care.

“We felt a special connection to the girls from the moment they entered our lives,” describes Traci. “They filled our hearts and fit in with our family perfectly. We just knew we had to adopt them when we had the opportunity to make them a permanent part of our family.”

On Nov. 15, in a courtroom with more than 90 family members, friends and Aspiranet social workers in attendance, the August family grew by two with the addition of their two adoptive daughters.

Aspiranet will hold an informational Open House on Tuesday, Jan. 7, for prospective adoptive parents who would like to learn more about adoption services.
The Open House will include an overview of the adoption process, the benefits of adopting through foster care, resources and support provided through Aspiranet and open discussion time for questions.
