Central Coast Cancer Classic golf tournament returns September 13
Early bird registration underway, sponsorship opportunities available
Mark your calendar for the 2015 Central Coast Cancer Classic golf tournament, taking place on Sunday, Sept. 13 at the Paso Robles Golf Club. An annual event benefiting The Cancer Support Community – California Central Coast, the tournament puts the “fun” in fundraising and has grown to be a favorite among local golf enthusiasts and amateurs alike.
“Everyone knows someone who has battled cancer and this really is a great way to support local cancer patients, survivors, and their families,” said CSCCCC Executive Director Christie Kelly, “and spending the day on the golf course with friends – a bonus!”
Early bird registration is currently underway, with discounts available through Aug. 29. Registration includes green fees, range balls, goodie bag, wine tasting, lunch, and an awards ceremony.
The Central Coast Cancer Classic is presented in tournament format, with golfers grouped in four-person scrambles playing 18 holes. The Callaway Handicap System will be used to determine team handicaps and the event is limited to the first 100 players.
“We have fabulous prizes for the overall winners,” said Kelly. “In addition, players will enjoy gourmet burgers on the turn, games on the greens, wine tasting, and more.”
