Children’s Museum pleased with successful fundraiser

Children’s Museum hosting 4th Annual Cioppino and Vino

Cioppino & Vino is a huge success, raising $33,000, museum director reports

This past Sunday, Nov. 3, the Paso Robles Children’s Museum held its 4th annual fundraiser, Cioppino & Vino at the Paso Robles Inn. “It was an absolutely amazing event and as the Museum Director I wanted to thank everyone involved who supported us,” says Jennifer Smith.

Jennifer Smith, The new director of the Paso Robles Children’s Museum.

“I still can’t get over how much the chefs, restaurants and wineries did to support the Paso Robles Children’s Museum and there aren’t enough words to express our gratitude,” she says. “You all went above and beyond our expectations in every way and truly delighted our guests with your amazing cioppino creations, wines and cheeses. We were blown away!”

“To our sponsors, our in-kind donors and of course all who attended the event, thank you for your incredible support. We couldn’t have done it without you!”

Because of the community’s generosity, the cost to put on this event is very low so nearly all the proceeds do go directly to the museum and help support overall operating costs. “Even though we are VERY cost conscious we run about an $80,000 deficit each year and the proceeds from Cioppino & Vino help tremendously,” Smith says. This year the event will net $33,000, she says.

“We are proud of the work we are doing in the community to help support other youth based organizations and the children and families they serve,” Smith says. “By the end of 2013 we will have been able to welcome thousands of children to the Museum at no cost to their families or caregivers. Cioppino & Vino helps support this important work and so do you.”
