Central Coast Funds for Children awarded a grant in the amount of $2,500 to the Paso Robles Children’s Museum to help support the Museum’s Community Partner Program, the museum announced Monday.

“This program allows the museum to offer free access to other youth based organizations and the children and families they serve,” says museum director Jennifer Smith.

The museum’s community partners include CASA, the Boys and Girls Club, the Kinship Center, the Cancer Support Community, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Jack’s Helping Hand and the Toy Bank. This year the Museum gave away 600 free Family Play passes at the Day of Giving sponsored by the Toy Bank. Support from Central Coast Funds for Children helped to offset the cost of these free passes.

“The Paso Robles Children’s Museum and the children and families who play here depend on the generosity of private donors and the community, we do not receive any government subsidies and our admissions and membership sales cover only about one half of our cost to operate the museum,” Smith says. “It’s groups like Central Coast Funds for Children that allow us to continue to provide a safe, educational, interactive environment where children can experience the Power of Play in Paso Robles.”

Paso Robles Children’s Museum is located at 623 13th Street, Paso Robles, CA 93446, (805) 238-7432.
