City hires new librarian
Anjelica Fortin spent ten years working with San Diego County Library system
–The City of Paso Robles announced this week, following an extensive nation-wide search, Anjelica Fortin has been named the new Paso Robles city librarian. In her position at the helm of the Paso Robles City Library, Fortin will oversee the operations of the Paso Robles City Library, including strategic planning, personnel management, budget preparation, and marketing of library materials and programs.
Prior to joining the Paso Robles City Library, Fortin spent ten years working for the San Diego County Library system, most recently serving as the county’s program services manager, volunteer coordinator, training coordinator and bookmobile supervisor. In this role, she supervised critical support services to 33 branch libraries as well as two bookmobiles in the San Diego County Library system, an area that spans over 4,000 square miles. In 2012, the San Diego County Library was named Library of the Year by Library Journal.
