– The Paso Robles City Manager’s Office has announced that Kristy Buxkemper has accepted the position as deputy city clerk in the city manager’s office.

Buxkemper participated in a competitive interview process and was chosen as the most qualified and appropriate fit for the position, according to Assistant City Manager Meg Williamson.

“While the Community Development Department will be sad to see her go, she will be just ‘across the lobby’ providing much needed support for city council and city administration in their business activities. Kristy’s background with Planning Commission agenda support, experience in customer service, and her proficiency in office administration makes her ideal for this new role,” said Williamson. “She’s a rockstar!”

Buxkemper spent one and a half years in a position in the Community Development Department as the assistant to planning and engineering. Buxkemper said that her new position, “won’t be too far of a stretch,” from her prior position, but that it is a big step up for her and her career. “I feel incredibly blessed,” she said.

Buxkemper started her new position on Monday. According to Williamson, she will be dividing her time between her past and future roles, and the office will be filling Buxkemper’s position as soon as possible.
