City offering new activities this fall

Registration open now for fall recreation classes

–Registration for the City of Paso Robles fall recreation classes has begun with new classes and returning favorites for all ages offered for the community.

Classes in candle making, seasonally themed acrylic painting, wreath and jewelry making, cooking, Zumba and a digital book creation class are new to the recreation schedule for the fall session. New classes for local youth include an after-school video game creation class and Halloween paper crafts for kids.

“We are thrilled to offer several new classes this season that provide an opportunity for folks to tap into their creativity,” said Heather Stephenson, recreation coordinator for the City of Paso Robles. “These type of classes along with our sports leagues, dance, yoga, and personal improvement classes provide something for everyone.”

The Library and Recreation Services Activity Guide which features all of the class listings is mailed to each household in Paso Robles and is available for pick-up at various public locations throughout the city including the Paso Robles City Library, City Hall, Centennial Park and local businesses. The guide may also be accessed online at www.prcity.com/recreation.

The guide, published three times a year, features all of the new and returning recreation classes offered by the Paso Robles Recreation Services Division. The periodical also highlights the free library programs for all ages. Listings for opportunities through the North County YMCA as well as the Paso Robles Senior Center are also featured in the guide.

Registration for recreation classes can be accomplished online, in person at the Centennial Park Registration office at 600 Nickerson Drive, Monday through Friday from noon until 5:00 p.m., or via mail or fax. Registration forms can be found online or on page 66 of the fall Activity Guide.
