City skies sparkle with spectacular fireworks show

The city of Paso Robles enjoyed a visual treat high in the skies above the downtown city park on Friday night. To celebrate the city’s 125th anniversary, a volunteer committee dedicated to the cause raised donations to launch a spectacular fireworks show on Independence Day.

Thousands of spectators gathered in the city park for events all day long that culminated in the fireworks show. At 9:15 p.m., mortars located in the parking lot behind the city library began launching pyrotechnics that lit up the sky for about 20 minutes.
