–The San Luis Obispo chapter of the California Native Plant Society (CNPSSLO) is organizing a workday of plant removal and transplanting at the Mission Plaza for this Saturday. This event was originally scheduled to take place Jan. 7 and has been rescheduled to Jan. 28. Saturday’s forecast predicts 0-percent chance of rain, so it’s the perfect time to plant and pull weeds.
The mission of the California Native Plant Society is to increase understanding and appreciation of California’s native plants and to conserve them and their natural habitats through education, science, advocacy, horticulture and land stewardship.
