Council appoints new commissioners to housing authority board
At a special meeting last week the Paso Robles City Council appointed two new commissioners to the Paso Robles Housing Authority. A motion was made by Councilman Fred Strong and seconded by Councilman Steve Gregory and the council voted unanimously to make the following housing authority appointments:
- David Anderson – 4 Year Term
- Earl Ward – 4 Year Term
The Paso Robles Housing Authority was established in the 1940s and is a separate agency from the City of Paso Robles and is primarily responsible for the operation of the Oak Park Housing Project, on the north side of town.
The Housing Authority Board of Commissioners oversees Public Housing Management and determines policy, procedures, and direction of the housing authority.
The Paso Robles City Council is responsible for the appointment of members to the board of commissioners and interviewed four applicants to fill two vacancies.
