Dale Evers presenting awards to ‘champions of the arts’

Ceremony will be held on June 4 for Donna Berg, Anne Laddon, Nancy Beckett

–Local artist Dale Evers has created a recognition award, the Paso Robles Arts and Culture Award, to present to local champions of cultural contributions, specifically in the visual and performing arts.PRAC Award

“There are so many wonderful dedicated philanthropists that have been selflessly serving the North County,” said Evers. He will be presenting the award to three local, “Art Community Icons,” at Studios on the Park in Paso Robles at 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 4.

The recipients will be: Donna Berg, Anne Laddon and Nancy Beckett.

“All three of the recipients are being honored for their amazing contributions to the visual and performing arts in Paso Robles,” said Evers.

Donna Berg and her late husband founded Paso Robles Youth Arts Foundation, which has touched and guided young lives through its various art programs for the children of Paso Robles.

Anne Laddon founded the nonprofit open studios art center Studios on the Park, which now serves 90,000 children and adults every year through its essential arts access and educational programs, including Kids Art Smart and Paso Artsfest.

Nancy Beckett is a part owner of Class Act Dance studio. She also teaches dance and is a choreographer.
