Supervisorial candidates’ campaign contributions disclosed

District One of the San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors, which encompasses all of Paso Robles, all of San Miguel and most of Templeton.

Peschong leads the pack in total campaign contributions by almost $86,000

–The four candidates running for District One of the San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors, which encompasses all of Paso Robles, all of San Miguel and part of Templeton recently disclosed their campaign contributions leading up to the June 7 primary, both cash donations and non-monetary contributions.

The candidates include Paso Robles Mayor Steve Martin, Paso Robles City Councilman John Hamon, Paso Robles retired attorney Dale Gustin, and political strategist John Peschong of Templeton. Frank Mecham is the current supervisor and is not seeking re-election.

Over the campaign period Jan. 1 to Apr. 23, 2016 total campaign contributions filed for candidates include:

Peschong raised $77,056 in cash donations and $9,993 in non-monetary contributions. His main contributor was Kevin McCarthy for Congress, Federal Committee from Bakersfield with a contribution of $5,000.

Martin raised $8,862.00 in cash donations and $750 in non-monetary contributions. His main contributor was Public Policy Solutions in San Luis Obispo at $2,500.

Hamon raised $7,913 in cash donations and $507 in non-monetary contributions. His main contributor was Koene Graves from Paso Robles at $1,000.

Dale Gustin is not fundraising and has signed a statement declaring during his campaign he will receive less than $2,000 and spend less than $2,000.
