Doobie Brothers rock the stage in Paso Robles
The Doobie Brothers took to the Vina Robles Amphitheatre stage on Friday, Oct. 21, to deliver their style of rock n’ roll. They have been touring the globe and sharing their music to audiences since 1973.
The show kicked off with a spotlight on the drums, as the drummer kicked into a beat. This allowed the rest of the band to come over the top of the drums and sing with their signature vocal style. The band started their set singing one of their hits, Jesus is Just Alright.
All members brought their a-game. Soloing, rhythmic riffing, and singing in four part harmonies is what puts this group into their own category of rock n’ roll. A saxophone and keyboard player helped support the guitar players, sometimes ripping into wonderfully rich and vibrant solos.
The crowd enjoyed clapping along and cheering for the solos on the guitar, keyboards, and sax as well. Overall, The Doobie Brothers are known for their classic rock sound, and true to form, they delivered.
