Eberle Winery makes donation to children’s museum

Eberle donation to Paso Robles Children’s Museum honors founder Tom Martin

Proceeds from winery’s barbecues benefits local children

The Children’s Museum at the Paso Robles Volunteer Firehouse received a $1,800 donation today from Marcy and Gary Eberle of Eberle Winery in honor of Museum founder, Tom Martin. The donation is a result of contributions made by visitors during Eberle’s monthly barbeque held at their tasting room.

Marcy and Gary Eberle are longtime supporters of the Paso Robles Children’s Museum and have made several donations in the past to help support program development. “I always admired Tom Martin and the work he did for our community,” said Gary Eberle. “Since his passing, I have felt strongly to help contribute to the things that meant the most to him, including the Paso Robles Children’s Museum. At Eberle, we focus on donating to children and education, so partnering with the Children’s Museum makes sense to us. As long as I’m here and making wine and barbequing, on the weekends, I will be donating to this great organization.”

The Children’s Museum, a Paso Robles based nonprofit organization, was formed in 2002 by Tom Martin and designated as a public charity with the purpose of developing and maintaining an interactive educational facility for children, family and communities in the greater Paso Robles area while showcasing the heritage of the Paso Robles Volunteer Firehouse.

“The Paso Robles Children’s Museum is tremendously grateful to Eberle Winery and Marcy and Gary Eberle for their continued support of Tom Martin’s vision and mission within the community,” said Museum Director Jennifer Smith. She added, “With the help of such generous patrons we will continue to provide a place for children to explore, discover, play and learn while focusing on the development of new interactive educational exhibits and programs for families and our community to enjoy.”
