Flash flood warning issued for San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara counties

Rain and thunderstorms expected to continue Friday morning

–Rain expected to continue in Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo County throughout Friday, according to Weather Underground, with clear conditions expected again overnight. More rain is in the forecast for Sunday.

The City of Paso Robles Water Division has recorded 1.02 inches of rain in the last 24-hour period. The season total is now 1.30 inches. For current rainfall totals, click here. 

Heavy rain and thunderstorms are possible this morning. There is the potential for rainfall rates in excess of one half inch per hour which could lead to mud and debris flows, especially in and below recently burned areas.

There is a flash flood watch in effect for the recent burn areas in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties until noon today.
