Food Bank distributes drought relief food assistance 

– Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo has received 70,000 pounds of food from Gov. Brown’s Drought Relief Food Program. Drought relief food assistance is available for people who have been unemployed or had their hours reduced due to the drought. This temporary program will begin in July. The food bank will hold reoccurring monthly distributions while drought relief food assistance lasts.

The location and schedule for this distribution is:

– Paso Robles: Food Bank, 2212 Golden Hill Rd.
3rd Friday of each month – 5-7 p.m.

– San Miguel: Lillian Larsen Elementary School, 1601 L St.
3rd Tuesday of each month – 5-7 p.m.

– Shandon: Shandon High School, 151 S. 1st St.
4th Friday of each month – 5-7 p.m.

– Oceano: Oceano Family Resource Center, 1511 19th St.
2nd Friday of each month – 5-7 p.m.

– Nipomo: Nipomo St. Joseph’s Church, 298 Thompson Ave.
3rd Monday of each month – 5-7 p.m.
