Four juveniles arrested for stealing from parked vehicles on Chestnut

Early Monday morning at about 3:26 a.m., Paso Robles police officers were dispatched to the area of the 1800 block of Chestnut St. regarding four male subjects wearing all black, carrying bags, looking into vehicles. Officers arrived in the area and located four subjects who were all detained after a short foot pursuit. All four subjects were juveniles, and all four had stolen property in their possession including: iPods, cameras, CD’s, MP3 players, and other electronics. The four juveniles were arrested and transported to Juvenile Servies Center for:

• Felony possession of stolen property, criminal conspiracy, and petty theft.

The investigation is ongoing to determine how many more victims there may be. As the four suspects are juveniles, their names and photographs will not be released.

The Paso Robles Police Department would like to remind citizens to always lock their vehicles and to remove any items of value from the vehicle, or secure items in the trunk and out of sight. Vehicle burglars usually are opportunists who prey upon vehicles that are unlocked, or have any items of value that are in plain view.

The Paso Robles Police Department encourages anyone with information regarding criminal activity in Paso Robles to contact Crime Stoppers at (805) 549-STOP (549-7867) or submit a Web Tip from the Crime Stoppers website at http://www.slotips.org. You can also submit a “TEXT TIP” by texting “slotips” and your message to CRIMES (or 274637). You may also contact the Special Enforcement Team (SET) directly at (805) 237-6464. You do not have to give your name.
