Grey Wolf Cellars offers ‘Soul Mate Gift Packs’ for Valentine’s Day
Rhône wine duo honors the vows of winery couple
–Grey Wolf Cellars has created a special Valentine’s Day gift package featuring a duo of Rhône wines, the newly released 2015 Soul Mate rosé and 2013 Rhône red blend, Soul Mate. The story behind the label is the coming together of two souls reflecting the marriage vows of winery owners Joe and Jenny Barton.
Jenny and Joe mark 2013 as the year where their past became the future with the serendipitous union of two souls who met back at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in the early 90s. Later in life their paths crossed again which brought together destiny and fate with a love story that is reflected in the two wines and with a promise of ever lasting love.
The special Valentine’s Day package comes in a beautiful gift box wrapped with a festive bow and includes: one bottle of the 2015 Soul Mate rosé- featuring bight aromatics of bing cherry, lush raspberry and delicate citrus blossom – one bottle of 2013 Soul Mate Red, a blend of Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Counoise which displays savory aromas of vanilla and spice on the nose with a succulent ruby color and an explosion of blackberries and dried wildflowers on the palate- and two logo Grey Wolf glasses. The package retails for $60.
Joe Barton, owner and winemaker has turned a new page in the chapter of his family-owned winery. With his father’s vision in his sights Barton and his wife Jenny have modernized the west side Paso Robles brand. A new updated label design and recent modern remodel of the tasting room, known as the Barton House, begins the legacy of the next generation and their life together running the day-to-day operations of the winery and tasting room. Joe and Jenny now share in his father’s mantra, “A family is a circle of caring, strong and eternal”.
Join the couple on Valentine’s Day at the tasting room from 11-5:30 pm for wine tasting and lunch by Jeffry’s Catering at Barton’s Kitchen Window. Enjoy sangria throughout the weekend for a special Valentine’s Day beverage.
