Highway 101 resurfacing on Cuesta Grade begins next week 

– A project to resurface Highway 101 in both directions from Reservoir Canyon Road to the Cuesta Overhead will begin on Monday, July 6.101

Motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions of Highway 101 during the overnight hours Sunday night through Friday morning from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.

Motorists will also encounter lane closures Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.

There will be no lane or shoulder closures on Fridays from 6 a.m. through Sundays until 8 p.m.

This project will be suspended for the duration of the California Mid-State Fair.

The contractor for this $3.1 million project is Telfer Highway Technologies of McClellan. This project is expected to be completed this September.

Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway construction zones.
