Hospital hosts heart disease & stroke prevention seminar
Twin Cities Community Hospital is hosting a complimentary seminar offered to the public. The Heart Disease & Stroke Prevention Seminar will be taught by Twin Cities Community Hospital’s Internal Medicine specialist Kevin F. Colton, M.D. on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Complimentary refreshments will be served.
Nearly one million Americans die of heart disease each year making it the leading cause of death in the U.S. The seminar will cover the risk factors of heart disease, including the effects of high blood pressure and cholesterol. Dr. Colton will educate attendees about how to develop healthy habits related to nutrition, fitness, sleep and stress management to reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke. A question and answer segment will follow.
