Hunter Ranch to host, ‘Impossible Open’ June 21
Open is, ‘the toughest test in Central Coast golf’ say organizers
Hunter Ranch Golf Course in Paso Robles announces its annual Impossible Open on Sunday, June 21. The event is designed to mimic the same playing conditions U.S. Open golfers will experience on the same day.
“Look, this event isn’t for everyone,” said John Carson, the golf course’s general manager. “But if you really want to test your golf skills, and experience U.S. Open conditions, we invite you to come out and play. Despite the despicable difficulty we devised, it’s still a lot of fun. It’s just not for wimps.”
Using a blind draw, each participant will partner with a player at the U.S. Open that Sunday. The professional’s gross score with be added to the local player’s net score to determine the “team” score.
Entry fee is $69 per person, and includes golf, a cart, range balls, and a premium barbecue hot dog lunch and two draft beers. The shotgun start is at 8:30 a.m.
