About Justin Fareed

Justin Fareed was born and raised on the Central Coast, and is Vice President of Pro Band Sports, Inc., a Santa Barbara based small business owned by his family. He is a third generation California cattle rancher and a UCLA graduate. After playing college football, Justin joined the coaching staff of his alma mater. He was motivated to run for Congress after working on Capitol Hill as a Legislative Aide to a senior member of Congress, where he witnessed firsthand the inner workings of Washington, DC. Justin currently lives in Goleta.

“I grew up building a business with my family and today, I run that small business. I’ve seen regulations coming out of Washington that have made it difficult for businesses like ours to survive, let alone thrive,” Fareed said in prepared remarks. “I’m sick of career politicians who continue kicking the can down the road. It’s my generation that must provide leaders who are willing to do the hard work, to tackle the challenges that face us, and to revitalize America.”

Fareed is running for the seat that Lois Capps (D-Santa Barbara) will leave vacant for the 24th Congressional District, which encompasses Santa Barbara County, San Luis Obispo County, and part of Ventura County. Also running for the seat: Democrat Santa Barbara Mayor Helene Schneider, Republican Assemblyman Katcho Achadjian, Democrat Salud Carbajal, and Democrat William Ostrander.
