Last call for marathon and 5k runners

Wine Country Half Marathon and 5kThe 5th Annual Paso Robles Harvest Marathon will be held at Le Vigne Winery in Paso Robles on Sunday, Oct. 26. The event is organized by the Paso Robles Bearcat Boosters, a non-profit organization supporting all student athletes at Paso Robles High School.

The event begins at 7 a.m. with the full and half marathon runners, then at 8 a.m. the 5K will begin. This year the 5K will be a scenic run through the vines. All runners will receive a Harvest Marathon shirt, swag bag, and free race photo. Prizes will be awarded to the top runners. This event is a certified Boston Marathon qualifier and is recognized by the California Half and Full Marathon Series.

This year we will be serving a Bearcat Breakfast at 8 a.m., followed by a taco lunch staring at 11 a.m. Organizers will also have a beer and wine garden, and a live band. On race day, there will also be an expo with several vendors providing give-away items, product information, and demonstrations.

All runners near and far are welcome to participate. The public is encouraged to come out to Le Vigne and enjoy the event. The tasting room opens to the public at 10 AM. A beer and wine garden will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the garden area. Runners and guests are invited to bring lawn chairs and come out and enjoy the event.

All of the proceeds benefit Paso Robles High School athletics. For more information on participating in the full marathon, half marathon, or 5K, or if you would like information on being a sponsor or having a booth at our expo, please visit www.harvestmarathon.com.
