Library displays abstract artist’s work in Nov.

The Paso Robles City Library’s featured artist during November will be abstract artist Glen Gibson, whose paintings have won awards in juried shows in the art- rich central coast of California and hang in a number of private collections. Gibson has been painting and experimenting with abstract forms of art for over fifty years. He presently works exclusively with water based acrylic paint applied to canvas. He strives for balance of color, tones, texture, and light. All of Gibson’s paintings are one-of-a-kind originals, and because of their abstract complexity, cannot be reproduced.

Back by popular demand, the Book Arts Group, a group of highly creative individuals who express themselves through the medium of book form, will display original, altered, and handmade books in the library’s main display case.

Check out the area’s exciting talent Monday through Friday 10-8, and Saturdays 10-5 at the Paso Robles City Library, located at 1000 Spring St. For more information on library programs, please call 237-3870 or visit www.prcity.com/library.
