Local cheerleader’s team wins fourth at world competition
Jessica Bartlett and California All Stars team Black Ops compete at The Cheerleading Worlds
–Local resident and 2014 Paso Robles High School graduate, Jessica Bartlett and her California All Stars team Black Ops cheer team won fourth place in the senior medium co-ed division at the 2016 United States All Star Federation (USASF) The Cheerleading Worlds, held April 23-25, 2016 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida.
The competition sees teams compete for championship titles in high stakes dance, acrobatics and tumbling routines. In order to go to the worlds, the team must qualify and be invited to the competition.
Bartlett started cheer when she was 10-years-old at California Gold in Paso Robles. She currently attends the University of California Berkeley and trains with the California All Stars team in Livermore.
The USASF hosts the Cheerleading and Dance World Championship annually. More than 120 USASF/IASF member event producers across the U.S. and in over 40 countries around the world qualify top teams at their premier national championships to compete at the worlds. This international event brings together more than 9,000 cheer and 3,500 dance athletes to vie for world champion titles in senior and international club divisions and categories.
