North County resident Callie Bobsin will perform Monday, July 21 at the California Mid-State Fair, opening for Florida Georgia Line on the Grandstand Arena stage. Bobsin and her band will play from 7:30-8 p.m. A Country Music Row-charting artist, she will perform songs that she has written and produced.

Bobsin’s first performance at the Mid-State Fair was at the age of 10 singing the National Anthem when she was 10 years old. She has previously performed on the fair’s free stages, but this will be a first for Bobsin sharing her songs with the audience on the big stage at the Grandstand. Most of her band members are also local musicians.

“It’s a dream of mine to be playing my own music on stage,” said Bobsin, 24. “It’s pretty exciting to think about performing on the Grandstand and I look forward to seeing some familiar faces in the crowd.”

Growing up on her family’s grain and cattle ranch, Bobsin attended Shandon schools and competed in high school rodeo and team roping events.

“My dad, Lonnie Twisselman, has always been my biggest fan,” she said. “He has always supported me in my music career and he has always believed in me.”

The local artist released her debut EP “On My Way” to national country radio in March 2013 and received enthusiastic and positive responses. Bobsin’s first radio single “Back Then” broke onto the Music Row Country Breakout chart and into the top 80 songs in all of Country music. Her newest single released to country radio, “Looking at You,” is currently charting on the music row breakout charts at No. 64.

Bobsin will have merchandise for sale at the show. For more information, including local tour dates and to keep up with Bobsin’s new and upcoming music, visit www.CallieBobsin.com; her album is available for purchase at itunes.apple.com/us/album/on-my-way/id619970786
