– Rebecca Sligh will be entering the running for the title of Miss Pacific Coast on July 25. Last year, Sligh took the honorary award of Miss Congeniality at the 2014 Miss California Mid State Fair Pageant.

A North County native and Cuesta College student, Sligh says that when she is not at work or school, she can be found volunteering in the community. At a young age Sligh started to attend monthly Women in Business Meetings, local Chamber of Commerce events, and other community functions. While volunteering with her platform charity, Transitions Mental Health Association, she says that enjoys reaching out to her community both learning and teaching the importance how to stay healthy both physically and mentally.

She is currently looking for sponsors to support her through her running, and plans to donate ten-percent of all profits earned to the charity.

“My goal is to help the community and give back in any way that she can whether it be helping out at community events and functions or volunteering with her charity Transitions Mental Health and their community outreach events,” she said.

For more information, find her on Facebook.
