Police identify murder victim
Victor Hugo Sanchez, 37, died of gunshot wounds

The victim of the February 23rd homicide has been identified as Victor Hugo Sanchez, DOB 05/25/1975, of Paso Robles. Sanchez was pronounced dead at the scene. His death was the likely result of apparent gunshot wounds, however an autopsy is pending.
Paso Robles Police Department dispatch personnel received a 911 call at approximately 9:27pm reporting the shooting. Dispatch personnel immediately dispatched Emergency Services and Police personnel who arrived at 9:33pm. Upon arrival emergency personnel determined the victim had already expired as a result of his injuries.
PRPD investigators are still gathering and following up on leads related to this crime and are requesting anyone with information about this crime contact them immediately. Suspect on the loose, police seek public’s help to solve crime
On Saturday, February 23, 2013 at approximately 9:28PM, the Paso Robles Police Department received 9-1-1 calls regarding a shooting which had just occurred at an apartment complex in the 3100 block of Spring Street.
Officers responded and found one adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound in the driveway area of the apartment complex. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators are still attempting to determine the motive for this shooting. At this time, there is no description for the suspect(s) or any suspect vehicle.
The Paso Robles Police Department is requesting assistance from the public to help solve this crime.
