Public invited to vote for best marshmallow peeps diorama

peeps dioramaPeeps, those infamous Easter confections, are taking over the shelves at the Paso Robles Library. About forty entries have been received for
the Peeps Diorama contest in honor of National Library Week April 13‐19.

Community members have been struck with marshmallow madness, creating dioramas of their favorite book using only marshmallow Peeps as the characters. From dioramas depicting James and the Giant Peep to a re‐creation of Vincent Van Gogh’s painting The Bedroom, voters are invited to choose their favorites in children, teens and adult categories. Votes may be cast between Monday, April 14 and Monday, April 28.

First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation’s libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support. All types of libraries ‐ school, public, academic and special ‐ participate.

The Paso Robles City Library is located at 1000 Spring Street and is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.. For more information on library programs and events, please call 237‐3870 or visit www.prcity.com/library.
